Be a part of the first ever Swamp Rabbit Trail and Douglas Piper announced collaboration. Douglas Piper is a printmaker born and raised in Greenville, SC. He has a love for living the outdoor lifestyle and his block printing speaks the same language and weaves together layers of printed block paper to form his work.
This collaboration focuses on the history of the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT). The SRT is a 22+mile multi-use rail trail in Greenville County, South Carolina, that largely follows the bed of a former railroad (Greenville + Northern Railway) that had been nicknamed “the swamp rabbit”.
The shirt is a super soft tri-blend, dusty blue Bella-Canvas. The design started out as a linoleum block print and then digitally converted to the shirts. On the design you see the former railroad with the name inscribed “Swamp Rabbit Rail” to represent the history of the rail. In front of the rail you see a swamp rabbit running to show the passing of the baton from a lumber and agricultural railroad to the walking and bicycling greenway we have today. On the back of the shirt is the official Swamp Rabbit Logo, so you know that this shirt is helping to provide more opportunities to improve our community.
All Swamp Rabbit Trail products created by Douglas Piper are licensed through the Greenville County Parks and Rec, and a portion of the proceeds go toward the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
50% of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the Swamp Rabbit Trail whose mission is to connect our communities.
This shirt is only available for two weeks Monday 6-14-21 through Monday 6-28-21.
