Swamp Rabbit Trail T-shirt Pre-Sale
*Swamp Rabbit Trail Shirt Collaboration*
For Two Weeks only (June 29th - July 13th)
Do you want to be a part of the first ever Douglas Piper Art and Swamp Rabbit Trail collaboration? Douglas Piper is a printmaker born and raised in Greenville, SC. He has a love for living the outdoor lifestyle and his block printing speaks the same language.
This collaboration focuses on the history of the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT). The SRT is a 22+mile multi-use rail trail in Greenville County, South Carolina, that largely follows the bed of a former railroad (Greenville + Northern Railway). It was nicknamed the “Swamp Rabbit” by its riders back in the mid-1900’s.
Our collaboration is a super soft tri-blend colored dusty blue. The design started out as a linoleum block print that has been screen printed onto the shirts.
The front of the shirt depicts the original train morphing into a rabbit, symbolizing the passing of the baton from a lumber and agricultural railroad to the walking and bicycling greenway we have today. Douglas worked with Ty Houck at Greenville County Parks & Rec to develop the watermark-styled logo on the back shoulder to bring this project under the “give-back” ethos of the trail community. This logo will only be available on this pre-order
50% of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the PRISMA Health Swamp Rabbit Trail Network whose mission is to connect our communities.
The last day to pre-order will be July 13th, come be apart of the legacy of the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
